Three-Dimensional Thermoelasticity Analysis of Viscoelastic FGM Plate Embedded in Piezoelectric Layers under Thermal Load

Due to the high importance of viscoelastic materials in modern industrial applications, besides intensive popularity piezoelectric smart structures, analyzing their thermoelastic response extreme temperature conditions inevitably becomes very important. Accordingly, this research explores thermoviscoelastic sandwich plates made a functionally-graded Boltzmann core and two surrounding face-layers subjected electrothermal load platform three-dimensional elasticity theory. The relaxation modulus FG layer across thickness follows power law model. plate’s governing equations are expressed Laplace domain handle mathematical complications corresponding plate with core. Then, state-space method, combined Fourier expansion, is utilized extract precisely. Finally, obtained solution converted time using inverse technique. Verification present formulation compared those reported published papers. influences dimension, gradient, constant on bending above-mentioned examined. As an interesting finding, it revealed that increasing length-to-thickness ratio leads decrease deflections increase stresses.
